Founded by brothers Bill and James Christie in 1967, Pinehurst has evolved to become a manufacturer of premium quality store fixtures and architectural millwork for leading luxury retailers around the globe.

Now a second generation family business, Pinehurst continues to grow, prosper, and improve.  And though much has changed over fifty years, the passion to serve our clients, create lasting value, and provide excellent customer service remains strongly in our DNA.

Don Christie

Don likes to claim he was born in a saw dust pile under the shop’s dust collector.  And although he started learning the business at his father’s side at the age of 10, it wasn’t until he finished his Engineering degree that he started working here full time 21 years ago.    There is basically no position in the shop that he has not worked at – cabinet making, trim sawyer, finisher, glass fabrication, metal shop.  Don is a hands-on, customer focused professional.  He thrives on the engineering challenges presented by leading edge designs that come to us.    In 2001 he started the transition to the leadership of the company with more management and client focused roles.  He is actively involved in all key account relationships and is personally involved with the management and service of those clients. Don is the President and a principal in the corporation.

Sue Patterson

Sue began her career at Pinehurst 23 years ago in Administration.  She spent four years learning the ropes in Payroll, Purchasing and Accounting before moving over to Estimating in 1996.  In 2002 she became the company’s Senior Estimator.  Her many years of experience allow her to readily grasp the design intent of our clients’ drawings and ensure they receive what they are expecting. She oversees a staff of five and directly manages pricing for the company’s key clients.  In addition to her responsibilities in Estimating, Sue is a Vice President and a principal in the corporation.

Scott Christie

Scott started learning the family business as a young teenager working summers and weekends in Shipping & Receiving.  When not honing his driving skills on the forklift he was increasingly exposed to the administrative side of the operation.  After completing a BSc degree in Chemistry in 2000, Scott joined the team full time as a Project Manager.  He worked with many of Pinehurst’s national and international clients.  Five years later he took on responsibility for leading that department as Director of Project Management and personally oversaw many multi-million dollar installations.  He is currently responsible for a staff of five.  Scott is a Vice President and a principal in the corporation.
